A neat digital video we used to introduce our students to our new digital storytelling unit. They wanted to see it over and over.

Mr.Z: I was born and raised in the mid-west. The first 13 years of my life were spent in Norfolk, NE. A great place to be a boy. I began high school in Round Lake, IL when my dad took a new job. I began my college education at North Park College in Chicago, IL. After performing poorly and being asked to leave, I was drafted into the Army and spent 14 months in Cu CHi Viet Nam with the 25th Infantry Division. After release from the Army, I completed my college education at Northeastern Illinois State College. I took a teaching position with Glenview Dist.#34 just north of Chicago where I taught 4th and 6th grades for 7 years. I moved my family to Texas in 1978 to take a teaching position with the Texas Department of Corrections. After 4 years I returned to public schools in the Spring Branch Independent School District. During my time in SBISD I have taught 4th, 5th, 6th,7th, and 8th graders. I am currently a Pre-AP Algebra teacher at Westchester Academy for International Studies, quite possibly the most ideal teaching environament in the country.
